Öz

Ebola hastalığı (EBOD), Filoviridae ailesine ait Orthoebolavirus türlerinin neden olduğu, yüksek mortaliteli ağır seyirli viral bir hastalıktır. 15 Mayıs 2026’da Demokratik Kongo Cumhuriyeti’nin Ituri Eyaleti’nde Bundibugyo virüsüne (BDBV) bağlı yeni bir salgının başlaması ve Uganda’da sınır ötesi olgular saptanması, EBOD’un küresel halk sağlığı güncelliğini yeniden ön plana taşımıştır. Bu derleme; EBOD’un güncel terminoloji ve sınıflandırması, patogenezi, bulaş yolları, klinik ve laboratuvar bulguları, tanı testleri, vaka tanımları, tedavi yaklaşımları, enfeksiyon önlem ve kontrolü, temaslı takibi, aşılama stratejileri ile uzun dönem sekeller konularını kapsamlı biçimde ele almaktadır. Mevcut lisanslı aşı ve monoklonal antikor tedavilerinin yalnızca Orthoebolavirus zairense için onaylı olması, BDBV kaynaklı salgınlarda tedavi seçeneklerini kısıtlamaktadır. Pan-filovirüs tedavi ve aşı geliştirme çalışmalarının hızlandırılması, erken tanı kapasitesinin güçlendirilmesi ve enfeksiyon kontrol altyapısının iyileştirilmesi öncelikli hedefler olmaya devam etmektedir.

Anahtar Kelimeler:
